How it works
Iterate in minutes, not months
Enter info to set up test
Drop in a URL, idea, copy, screenshot, or mockup. Then answer a few questions.
Run simulated tests
We will run simulated tests based on 1M tested data points from brands in your industry.
Iterate and ship
DoWhatWorks shows you what’s likely to win and generates options to increase your odds.
Why it works
AI trained on real split tests.
Our patented technology has detected and analyzed over 1M data points from real tests from all top brands. We train AI on what wins by sector, page, geography, and more.
Who it’s for
For teams that…
-
01
struggle to get more website traffic.
-
02
can’t test everything.
-
03
refuse to copy competitors blindly.
And one more thing
Smart competitor alerts without the noise.
Our engine tracks changes your competitors make on their sites and lets you know if it’s a good move.
Get early warning along with evidence-backed direction. Generate a response quickly. Run a simulation yourself. Do what works and avoid repeating mistakes.

FAQ
Does this replace running real A/B tests?
No, it gets you to a confident decision faster on the changes you already know you should make, and helps you prioritize which experiments are worth the cost of running for real. Teams use it to triage their backlog and validate ideas before committing engineering time.
What if I’m not running any split tests?
No problem. If you lack the time, traffic, or tools to run A/B tests, DoWhatWorks runs simulated tests instead. You get predictions based on one million plus data points from the world’s top brands over the last six years. So you can optimize like you have a hundred times more traffic than you actually do.
What is a simulated test?
A simulated test uses real test data to predict how likely an idea, design, or copy is to win along with confidence intervals around those predictions. A simulated test uses machine learning and over 1 million data points from real experiments to evaluate billions of permutations of variables across these tests. Simulated tests use real test data, not synthetic data, to train the model to evaluate what actually moves the needle by sector, page type, and design element.
What kinds of pages and changes can I test?
All top of funnel pages and elements. Homepages, landing pages, pricing pages, checkout flows, onboarding, hero sections, CTAs, headlines, social proof blocks, form layouts. If it’s on a public website, we likely have benchmark tests for it.
What if I don’t have a mockup yet?
You don’t need one. Enter a URL, paste a piece of copy, describe an idea in a sentence, or upload a sketch. DoWhatWorks predicts on whatever you have.
How is this different from competitor research tools?
Other tools show you what competitors are doing. DoWhatWorks shows you whether what they’re doing actually works, and predicts whether your version will outperform theirs before you ship.
Why can’t I just ask ChatGPT or Claude for the answer?
LLMs are trained on blog posts and Reddit content, not actual split test results. DoWhatWorks is trained on the largest proprietary database of A/B test results in the world.
Where do you get the data from, how do you know what people are split testing, and how do you know what wins?
We use patented technology to detect experiments running on the public web. Like Google, our engine crawls the web, but our algorithms spot experiments in real time, and we have humans validate and categorize every one we find. That gives us the richest dataset across major brands and sectors to train on. We know what wins by analyzing patterns across thousands of nearly identical tests, so we can predict the probability any variable will win when executed a specific way on a specific page in a specific geography.
Do you have answers for mobile web in addition to desktop web?
Yes. We cover both.
How does DoWhatWorks work with tools like Figma, Claude, Optimizely, Webflow, Wordpress, Framer, etc?
DoWhatWorks is the amplifier for all your existing tools. Your analytics tell you where things break, but they don’t tell you what to build instead. We do. We help you use performance data to generate ideas, whittle them down, pretest and validate, then push to Webflow or run as experiments in Optimizely. If you’re not running tests, we help you analyze the impact pre and post launch.
Do you require me to integrate anything into my user experience?
Nope. DoWhatWorks operates completely independently of your website. No integration, no pixels, no PII, nothing. We just need a URL or a mockup.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes. We offer a limited free trial with credits that give you a real taste of what the platform can do.
Who’s behind this?
DoWhatWorks was started by Andres and Will Howard to solve a real pain they felt running growth teams at Meetup. Andres helped launch Meetup and led product as it grew to forty million users. Experimentation was their biggest growth lever, but it was a major headache. So they built DoWhatWorks. It’s now used by six of the top streaming brands, major banks, SaaS players, and more. We’re backed by Everywhere Ventures, Eric Ries (author of Lean Startup), Matt Waller (author of Start at the End), and the CHRO of Hershey.
Under the hood
How we predict outcomes
Capture test data across brands.
Our patented technology detects live tests from every major brand. We’ve been capturing tests across sectors for over six years. We now have 1M+ tested data points and growing daily.
Real test data trains AI.
Machine learning evaluates billions of permutations of variables across real tests from top brands. That trains a model to evaluate what actually moves the needle by sector, page type, and design element.
Use data to simulate tests and generate alternatives.
Your experience, ideas, and competitor matchups get measured against the patterns. See odds, confidence, and guidance to get an edge on competitors.
